How To Play Frustration Board Game

Natural Selection

Act I, Scene 1

But it's not true is not true, not true! What
andouille is not possible!

An hour and a half to Geneva and Annecy to find the place without undue stress, it should play well. But now more than forty-five minutes I turn around without success. I feel like going through the same streets ten times, having returned my map of the city in every sense, to be spent many times just next door.

Eighteen hours. Here it is, it is too late. The sentence written in bold letters on the notice leaves me no chance: "We ask you to be punctual, no entries will be accepted once the race started."
I try however, the last street of Cran-Gevrier I have not explored yet, you never know, I waited too long this time to give up so close.

And then the miracle occurs.

I park the car on the first available location, gather my equipment and my spirits, cast an eye on the clock (6:10 p.m.), running through the parking lot, down a flight of stairs and entered the room.

Act I, scene 2

At the other end of the room, forty, fifty people are grouped in front of the amphitheater stage. Perched on it and sitting at a table, a man (the quarantine alert, salt and pepper hair, light suit) talks to them and seems to ask them questions.
Beside him stands a young woman (attractive, blonde, jeans) that I look at the astonished look. I rushed towards her
- "I had a bad crazy to find you. Can I still participate? "
-" We started a long time but you can always try. Do your best "she replied, handing me a sheet with fifty small numbered boxes.

I settle quickly. All is not lost, calm down, breathe, concentrate, listen ...
- "Question number 21 ..."
Twenty-one! Already! Come on, you can do it, you'll get there, calm down, breathe, concentrate, listen and respond.

- "Here, is completed, we will correct. Place your sheet to your neighbor and take his. I'll read the answers to questions, check the correct answers and add them. We will keep those who scored over 25 points. "

few minutes later, my neighbor (probably a professor of philosophy at retirement, gray hair in battle) shows me my results:
-" It is still not lucky! 22 correct answers out of 30, it is infuriating. "
Then we pass near the beautiful young blonde that my neighbor calls:
-" Miss! Tell the little guy next to me here, he arrived late and he managed 22 out of 30. We could do something for him right? "
She looks at me staring. I find more and Cutest.
- "22 out of 30! You will stay with us ..."

Act I, scene 3

A dozen people got up and left the room.
- "Please return your sheet, this is the second series of 50 questions."
Come on, you can do it, you'll get there, calm down, breathe, concentrate, listen and respond.

The beginning of this second test is far from brilliant. I have entered a response after the first five questions and the name of the Flemish geographer of the sixteenth century is not to my memory, but finally, 50 questions and a correction over later, I totaled 32 correct answers.

Once again, a dozen people got up and left the room. We remain sixteen.
- "Good! Now that questions have been completed, thank you for filling the information that we'll distribute your name, surname, address, occupation, hobby, hobbies, sports played, passions ... Be creative arouse our interest and find out! " I quote
collage ice hockey, Monty Python, Brenthonne-les-Cows, the Arctic Monkeys, gastronomy, skiing, Marion and Amelia, historical novels ...
The pretty blonde (she is really cute) and my Polaroid clip reel in my twisted smile on my record before joining the man in light suit.

- "So Frank, why did you presented to us today?"
- "You do an unusual job! Can you tell us a little more?"
- "If we call you in a few months, you feel ready to join us?"

21:00. I leave the room. Relatively satisfied.
It seems to me that the man in light suit and the pretty blonde at length studied my card ...

Act I, Scene 4

few weeks later, the phone ringing resonates in the lounge.
- "Hello?"
- "Hello Frank! Oscar QUESTIONS FOR A CHAMPION . We met in the Olympic trials in Annecy three weeks ago."
- "Yes!" Hello! "
- "Frank, would you be free on December 17 to come and play on the set and record a show?"

Act II to follow soon February 11
